Ameshia & Justin's Farm Maternity Shoot
I am so excited to share my most recent shoot! I had the honor of photographing the cutest pregnancy announcement for Ameshia and Justin. When Ameshia first reached out to me, she mentioned wanting a pregnancy announcement that incorporated their family cows and farm. I was thrilled about this idea and couldn’t wait to meet some farm animals!
When I arrived, the weather was absolutely perfect, and the lighting was chef’s kiss—just amazing. We began the session near the cows, who were very interested in us (and in the feed Justin brought down with him). Ameshia and Justin were complete naturals, even though this was their first experience with professional photos.
Many people feel nervous about booking a photographer because they worry they’re not photogenic or that the photos won’t turn out well. But I always say—push that out of your mind and book the shoot! The memories you create and the photos you have to look back on are priceless. Ameshia and Justin were the perfect subjects, embracing all the prompts I gave them with enthusiasm. We even had some fun capturing candid moments with the cows—while carefully avoiding the cow pies!
Afterward, we moved to the front of their property. Since it was sunrise, the sun shining through the trees made for some breathtaking shots. I had them dance in the road, and the resulting photos look like they’re straight out of a romantic movie.
As we continued exploring the property, we were followed by a little furry friend—a skittish but curious dog who seemed very interested in what we were doing. It was such a cute addition to the session! We eventually reached a small clearing surrounded by trees, where the light was just perfect. It really showcased the love and excitement Ameshia and Justin have for becoming parents.
I can only hope that when their little girl is grown up, she’ll see these photos and understand just how loved she was even before she was born.
This shoot will always hold a special place in my heart, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to capture such a beautiful moment for this wonderful couple.
