Hello, and thank you so much for being here and supporting me! I'm beyond grateful for each and every one of my clients and absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to capture the special moments in your lives.
For my first blog post, I couldn't think of a better story to share than my most recent elopement session, which I’m still buzzing about!
Danielle and Griffin were the beautiful couple I had the privilege of photographing on their special day. Their love story began on a farm in Ecuador back in 2022. As soon as I read this in their questionnaire, I knew they were going to be an extraordinary couple. They met while doing chores around the farm and had one of their first dates at a hot spring. Despite being separated by distance after their summer in Ecuador, their love only grew stronger. Once reunited, they traveled and lived abroad together, embracing every adventure.
When they reached out to me and shared that they were eloping in Shenandoah National Park, I knew this was the perfect setting for them—natural, adventurous, and breathtakingly beautiful.
The weekend began with a bit of uncertainty. Hurricane Debbie had knocked out the power at the lodge where they were staying. Despite the circumstances, Danielle and Griffin remained unfazed, their excitement for the wedding day shining through.
Danielle, one of the most laid-back brides I've ever met, didn’t bat an eye when the power was still out the next morning. With no nearby place to get ready, she found a public bathroom at a visitor center and did her hair and makeup while sitting on an upside-down trash can, smiling all the while. It was clear that she was just happy to be marrying the love of her life.
The ceremony was intimate, with just a few close family members and friends under a beautiful tree overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. The love between Danielle and Griffin was palpable, making the moment incredibly moving.
After the ceremony, the couple planned a mini honeymoon exploring nearby waterfalls and the rest of the National Park.
It was an honor to capture this amazing couple and be a part of their love story. Their day was a beautiful reminder that no matter what happens, the most important thing is marrying the love of your life. Everything else will fall into place. So, don’t stress—just enjoy your big day!
